Someone tipped the cart in the Peoples Republic of Madison, Wisconsin in April.
Wisconsin Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen released guidance in the form of an Advisory Memorandum to Wisconsin’s District Attorneys on April 20th regarding Wisconsin’s Constitutional Right to openly carry firearms and its application in matters of criminal Disorderly Conduct.
The clarity Van Hollen provided was immediately praised by those that support the Wisconsin State Constitution. It was quickly criticized by those that felt the Constitution should been reinterpreted to clearly ban the open carry of guns for any reason. (more…)
